This site is a project of the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society (EBC). It is not affiliated with the City of Edmonton or Edmonton Elections 2010, nor are we endorsing any individual candidates.
The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters:
- advocates on behalf of all cyclists in Edmonton, regardless of interest or skill-level
- is a registered non-profit society, formed in 1980
- operates a volunteer-run community bike workshop, accepting donations of bicycles in any condition
- conducts bicycle education activities, including learn-to-ride, certified CAN-BIKE advanced on-road skills, and mechanic courses
- offers presentations, advice, and courses to businesses, non-profits, and other organizations
- supplies bike parking and free bicycle tune-ups at community events
- helps fund and organize Bike Month in June and various events throughout the year
- provides the resources and voice to make Edmonton a more cycle-friendly city
